VERT SEOUL EXCLUSIVE "HANDMADE SKATEBOARD" @baekhaeyong

This is a skateboard making short film that captures the Dimito’s brand identity through artwork collaboration with artist Baek Hae Yong.

Dimito, which consistently develops its brand in the snowboarding scene in the winter and the skateboarding scene in the summer, embraces both cultures depending on the season because they share the same cultural roots and beginnings that made it inevitable for snowboarding and skateboarding to coexist considering the origins of both snowboarding and skateboarding. The project introduced in this video is the making process of the skateboard decks that were briefly introduced at the last DMTPSTVM tour video screening event. We worked with artist Baek Hae Yong who has extensive know-how in handmade painting artwork using the 2024 DIMITO SS artwork.

Artist Baek Hae Yong, who has had a long-standing relationship with Dimito, believes that the act of drawing itself is the most honest way to express oneself and has been steadily creating his personal works of art. He has been working with Dimito on a projects to create special items using the various artworks for long time and this latest collaboration has been completed by expressing Dimito’s artwork as a stencil work on a skateboard deck. Artist Baek Hae Yong’s handmade know-how is fully reflected in the skateboard and these beautiful artwork decks are on display at Dimito’s flagship store, Vert Seoul.
